Dean Nelson - President

Pastor Dean Nelson is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where he was a catalyst for reconciliation between black, white and Asian Christian groups. Dean has worked fulltime for Wellington Boone Ministries since 1990. He has been a campus minister for over fifteen years, and is currently the acting President of Global Outreach Campus Ministries. He has also assisted with church plants in both Virginia and Georgia and was recently appointed to serve as the Executive Director of the Network of Politically Active Christians (NPAC), the political education and advocacy arm of Wellington Boone Ministries. He and his wife Julia, reside in Gaithersburg, Maryland and have three home-schooled children; Michaela, Amani and Brandon.

Julia Nelson - Editor

Julia Nelson was raised as a Unitarian Universalist but had a radical conversion experience at the age of sixteen. She graduated from the College of William and Mary with a degree in Religion, where she was a leader in campus ministry. She has been a part of Wellington Boone Ministries since 1992 and married Pastor Dean Nelson in 1996. She has served as an administrator, researcher, speaker and staff writer in ministry. She has also been a professional ghost-writer and editor for over ten years. Julia’s favorite job (most days) is homeschooling her three children Michaela, Amani and Brandon.

Bart Jones - Regional Campus Director

Bart Jones has been ministering on college campuses since 1989.  Currently, he is a Campus Minister with Forerunners For Christ / Global Outreach Campus Ministries, a student ministry based in Atlanta with groups at GSU and GT.  He is a 1986 “highest honors” graduate of Georgia Tech [Management] where he earned All-Academic ACC status as a four year football letterman. Upon graduation, Bart worked as a Trust & Investment Officer with Trust Company Bank in Atlanta before answering Christ’s call to vocational campus ministry.  Over the last 18 years, Bart has been doing evangelism, discipleship training, multimedia presentations on relevant topics and has written multiple evangelistic and discipleship oriented tracts.  Moreover, he has led and / or participated in numerous @#!$-term mission trips in a variety of foreign countries.  He and his wife Michelle [also a Tech graduate] live in Lawrenceville, Ga. and have five children, Lydia, Rein, Christopher, David and Jacob.  They are part of the leadership team at City Harvest Worship Center in Lilburn, Ga.

Darrian Summerville - Regional Campus Director

Darrian Summerville attended Northern Michigan University, where he earned an athletic scholarship to play basketball.  Darrian joined Global Outreach Campus Ministries nearly 4 years ago and currently serves as one of the Regional Campus Directors at Georgia Tech and Georgia State University.  Darrian has a deep burden for youth and young adults to experience the love of God through worship and intercession.  In addition to Global Outreach, Darrian serves as Praise & Worship Leader for Wellington Boone Ministries and has traveled extensively along the East coast spreading the message of revival, worship and prayer.  Darrian resides in Metro-Atlanta, GA with his wife, Greta.  They have 2 young boys; Darrian Jr. (D.J.) and Phillip Eugene.

Greta Summerville - Administrative Ass’t

Greta Summerville is an alumnus of the University of Virginia.  She mentors college students and serves as a role model for singles and married couples alike.  Greta assists Global Outreach with administrative tasks and “watching on the wall”.  One of her desires is to see God break out within the Hispanic/Latino college bodys and galvanize those who will intercede and stand in the gap for the end time harvest of souls.

Marcus Harris - Prayer Coordinator

Marcus Harris attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Religion in May 2006. During college, Marcus served as a prayer leader, spiritual life director, and a resident assistant. After graduating from Liberty, he moved to Washington, DC to work for Global Outreach Campus Ministries and The Network of Politically Active Christians (NPAC), both founded by Bishop Wellington Boone. Marcus is the prayer coordinator for Global Outreach and NPAC. He is also a regional director for Global Outreach working on several campuses in the Metro DC area. 

Marcus’ focus in campus ministry is sparking an overseas mission’s movement among college students and establishing 24/7 houses of prayer started. He desires to equip young men and women to take Christ into every area of society.

Katrina D. Wilson - Women’s Director

Katrina D. Wilson is a graduate of the University of Virginia where she received a Bachelors degree in Sociology and African-American Studies.  She also has a Master’s degree in Counseling from the Psychological Studies Institute in Atlanta, GA.  Katrina has been reaching young women with the message of abstinence and sexual purity since her undergraduate years and has served as a Women’s Ministry leader with Global Outreach Campus Ministries for the past six years instructing college-aged women in various areas of the Christian faith.  Katrina serves on the Board of Director’s for the Care Net Atlanta Pregnancy Resource Center, a faith-based program designed to provide abortion alternatives to women in pregnancy crisis situation.  She is an active member of The Father’s House church and resides in Lawrenceville, GA.
