About Us

To See Revival on Every Campus in America and Beyond

We believe that God wants to bring revival and awakening to the campuses of America. It is our goal to cooperate with Him, and all His people who are like-minded, to see this happen. By the grace of God, students who pass through our ministry will not only hear His word, but have a life-changing experience with Him that they can share with others. The spread of salvation to their classmates and families is then a natural process, and “the ministry” becomes a mere vessel to accommodate the Holy Spirit.

When students’ lives are changed by the power of God, the atmosphere of their entire campus is affected. Professors are reached, curricula are changed to reflect sensitivity to godly truth, and university money is channeled to promote truth instead of just fashionable philosophy. Classes have been known to shut down at schools where students respond to the presence of God, as they did at Asbury College in 1970. Students who have been impacted like this represent an entire generation of marriages, children, workplaces and communities that will reflect God’s glory.

To Become a Prayer Movement

Nothing of value will be accomplished in the Kingdom of God that is not rooted and grounded in prayer. Our goal is to allow God to make those who pass through ministry people saturated with and committed to prayer. Establishing consistent and intense corporate prayer meetings is the most important part of the formation of every chapter. Students take these times very seriously; they understand that all of their goals as a group must first be committed to fervent corporate prayer. As they learn how to hear God’s voice together and see Him come through for them in miraculous ways, they develop even greater faith, which they can build on throughout their lives.

To Develop Personal Consecration in Every Student

Naturally, the quality of a corporate prayer meeting, or any other activity for that matter, is directly related to the quality of each student’s individual relationship with God. Our attitude toward campus revival is that it must begin in our own hearts. We cannot pray for God to revive “others” when we are not carrying the spirit of revival in our own lives. Our goal is that every one of our students would be challenged to make personal prayer, fasting, and study of the Word of God the top priority in their lives. It is this private communion with the Lord that will enable them to please Him, and to live up to His standard of holiness so needed in this generation.

These days, students are patted on the back for simply showing up to church or to a Bible Study meeting. Laziness or compromise in their Christian walks is often brushed off as a result of their youth. In reality, history teaches us about many young people who carried revival, from the Apostle John in the first century to Evan Roberts at the turn of the 20th century. Students need to be given the faith that they can and they must live a holy life pleasing to God. God assures us that “His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.” (2 Peter 1:3) We want our students to understand that God is on our side in the battle to help us overcome temptation and make us everything He wants us to be.

To Develop Servant Leadership Training for Students

Our society values career advancement and material gain as signs of greatness and success. Jesus taught us that the greatest among us is the one who serves the most (John 13). We believe that the true leaders of tomorrow are the true followers of Jesus Christ today. In order to prepare students in our ministry for this great task, they must learn how to lead Jesus’ way: by serving. By the grace of God, this will be demonstrated to them by their contact with the staff and national office. Our philosophy of management is to bless and serve those God gives us, not to rule over them harshly.

Students learn servant leadership by serving one another, by learning to respect and serve their leaders in their local churches, and most of all by doing things for “the least of the brethren” (Matthew 25:40), those that no one else on the campus or in the community wants to serve. Chapter presidents and other student leaders are taught that they only have leadership credibility before God to the degree that they are serving those in their care. They then take these same leadership skills into positions on their campus, their future jobs and their future families.

To Train Students in Biblical World-view and Critical Thinking

It is shocking how many ungodly professors use their podiums as pulpits for their own opinions, instead of responsibly stimulating the intellect of their students from an objective standpoint. Even beyond the classroom, the wide range of ideas and philosophies underlying television, movies and other multi-media venues are often destructive and anti-God as well. Our goal is that all our students would not just be able to repeat religious rhetoric, but also make the most of their educations by investigating God’s perspective on all the issues brought up in their classrooms and peer groups.

Instead of mindlessly ingesting the contents of their textbooks and lectures, students will be equipped to think critically and hold all ideas up to the standard of the Word of God. In an age where so many criticize the Bible as outdated and irrelevant, God reminds us that “there is nothing new under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 1:9). God is not intimidated by the wise sounding arguments of politicians, and His people should not be either. Paul warned his disciples in Colosse “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.” (Colossians 2:8) We want to prepare and train our students to beware of the enemy’s tactics, and be able to discuss biblical perspective intelligently and respectfully with anyone.

To Prepare Students for Specialized Callings

The importance of reaching and ministering to students extends far beyond the campus environment. We believe that we are not only called by God to come into His Kingdom by way of salvation, but we have a special place in God’s plan for the earth. Our goal is to help each student in our ministry discover more about his or her special purpose, and to give them exposure to different people and resources who will assist in preparing them.

Specialized callings include careers in fields such as law, medicine, business, politics, entertainment, and ministry, as well as the calling of being a husband, wife and parent in the future. We believe that high school and college are ideal times to learn the principles of the Kingdom and to get experience putting them into practice before being thrust out into the “real world.” Just as they have the experience of praying to see the environment of their campus changed, they can then be launched into society and see a greater change in their workplaces and communities. Even more importantly, by keeping themselves holy and receiving solid teaching and exposure to godly adults, they can reverse the trend toward divorce, and raise up godly children who will be the next generation of leaders.
